This is the home page of the Classic Yacht Association, an organization devoted to the restoration and preservation of pre-World War II wooden pleasure craft. It includes photos of member yachts from each fleet: The Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Northern and Southern California and USA. Information about becoming a member, upcoming events as well as information for current members is all included here.

Classic Wooden Yachts of the Northwest by Northwest author and wooden boat enthusiast Ron McClure allows you to step aboard the boats that dreams are made of. This web site celebrates his book and serves as a sneak preview of the feast of more than thirty classic wooden motor yachts from Washington to British Columbia, custom-designed and custom-built in the early part of the century. Kensington is one of the near-forty of the featured vessels in this remarkable book.

Stephen Wilen has done all classic-boat enthusiasts a favor by collecting Norm Blanchard's fond reminiscences of a life devoted to splendid wooden boats in this book published by Horsdal & Schubart. In it, Blanchard recalls memories of yachts, people and events involved with his father's Blanchard Boat Company in Seattle.

Also a member of the Classic Yacht Association, Maranee and her history are showcased in this web site, with photos and stories dating back to the 1940s. The restoration process taken by her owners is also featured here.
